Amanda Bechen

Amanda serves as Senior Director of Communications and Marketing for South Dakota Corn, working on behalf of corn producers across the state. Amanda has deep agricultural roots and blends creativity, efficiency, and collaborative spirit into her work. Her passion for agriculture began early on as she tagged along with her older sisters to 4-H meetings and competitions. The Davison County 4-H Grounds and the South Dakota State Fair are the backdrop of many of her greatest childhood memories. Amanda’s career has spanned multiple states working for both family-owned businesses and Fortune 500 companies. She is known for her incredible attention to detail and ability to manage multiple high-priority projects while connecting with diverse audiences. She also serves as a mentor and brings extensive experience in building communities that help people share their stories. Amanda calls Brookings home and obtained a Bachelor of Science (Consumer Affairs) and Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from South Dakota State University.
