The South Dakota Agricultural & Rural Leadership (SDARL) Foundation is seeking a communications professional to provide public relations, social media, and alumni relations activities for the state’s premier leadership development organization. This part-time position (up to 30 hours per week) reports to the CEO and coordinates activities with the Program Director and committees of the Board of Directors.

Specific responsibilities include developing, writing, and distributing news releases, updating the organization’s website (in WordPress), updating social media posts, writing and publishing twice-monthly electronic newsletters, and coordinating activities for the organization’s alumni. There are also database management responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in communications or a related field, in-depth knowledge of web-based communication platforms, experience in meeting planning, and knowledge of the rich heritage and vibrancy of agriculture in South Dakota. Knowledge of the SDARL flagship 18-month leadership program is preferred. This is a remote-work position with some in-person responsibilities from time to time. Salary commensurate with experience.
