From educational presentations to candidate forums to information booths, SDARL graduates and staff were out in full-force for Dakotafest – the Northern Plains premier ag event. Pictured above from left, John Melius (SDARL VI) joins Nate Franzen (SDARL I) in a seminar on marketing decision-making for producers. The day before, Nate presented a separate session on cutting through the noise in the markets. You can read about that presentation HERE.

Pictured below, clockwise from top left, Sara Bauder (SDARL VIII) and classmate Warren Rusche delivered information in the SDSU Extension tent; Bob Thaler (SDARL III) gave a presentation on “Utilizing Swine Manure as a Valuable Source of Crop Nutrients”; Eric Jennings (SDARL VIII) and Rebecca Christman (SDARL IX) served beef sandwiches; and Pam Geppert (SDARL I) from Dakota Farm Talk interviews Jon Kleinjan (SDARL IX), an SDSU extension agronomist.
