Alumni Needed to Advocate at the Brown County Fair

The Brown County Fair in Aberdeen will be having an “Ag Experience” learning center at the fair this year, and SDARL graduates are being asked to step up and staff the center on Sunday, August 21 from 10 am to 5 pm CT.

The Ag Experience center will be set up with various learning stations for young people to teach them about agriculture and where their food is grown and raised. Tanya Torguson (SDARL XI) is heading up the SDARL day there, and we need 4 to 6 volunteers to work 2 ½ hour shifts. You can sign up NOW by clicking HERE and typing your name. Sign up here to work at the Brown County Fair before August 16!

SDARL will also have a display at the learning center to promote the 18-month program. SDARL staff Jennifer Henrie and Don Norton plan to be in attendance. Make a day of it and experience the Brown County Fair – family members are welcome to assist in the learning center, too. This will be an excellent opportunity for SDARL to AgVocate and promote our great program. For more information, please contact Tanya at (605) 290-1342 or via email.
