Dear Potential SDARL Participants,
South Dakota’s communities and its agriculture industry continue to need educated and open-minded leaders who can foster cooperation yet promote healthy debate, while being drivers of change that will help sustain continued growth in our state. That’s why the South Dakota Agricultural and Rural Leadership program is critical to continued success of South Dakota – ensuring a perpetual supply of inspired people willing to live SDARL’s mantra of “If not now, when? And If not me, who?”
I invite you to apply for the SDARL program and elevate your knowledge of local, state, national and international agriculture. Leadership involves participation and the SDARL curriculum will equip you with the tools to better advocate for agriculture, tell your story, and it drives passion and motivation which will increase involvement in your community, civic organizations and ag industry groups.
Candidates apply for admission indicating their reasons for wanting to participate. Successful candidates have demonstrated leadership potential and willingness to serve in decision making roles upon completing the program.
